Modified Jung Super-Regulator
Back in 2002 I have designed a circuit board (a pair of them actually, one for positive and one for negative supply) for the well-regarded Modified Jung super-regulators (Walt Jung prefers it is made clear that these circuits have been modified from his original design, therefore I call them "modified"), after some posts I've read on DIYaudio.com. I have known of them before, of course, but that was the first time I found that there have been some improvements added. I needed them for my own use, but then I realized that I was not the only one who wanted to build them but was unable to find a board with modern revisions and at a resonable price (I personally believe that lack of readily available PCBs is the prime reason that many DIY projects never get built). Now in 2004 things are looking up so this isn't the only place you can get them, but I think the price is still good since I think of this as a service to fellow DIYers rather than money making opportunity. These are small 49 by 46mm boards, featuring circa 2000 revision with the pre-regulator, as well as giving you the option to solder SOIC chip directly on the board (in addition to PDIP one).
Please note, this is not my design (except for the circuit board) and I don't provide any any kind of support other than what's on this page! These are well known devices and you're assumed to know what you're doing if you buy the boards. So if you ask questions such as how much current it can provide, how to set up the voltage, what's the voltage range it can provide, how good it is, where is the parts list and so on, you will be refered to other sources of information on the subject. For example, visit the DIYAudio.com forums. I only provide the boards.
Schematics for positive and schematics for negative regulators that I used to design the boards were taken from DIYaudio forums sometime in 2002. There are two boards, one for positive and one for negative supplies.
